Jacinta writes about The Castle Collection: “I noticed, first, the dust motes dancing in the light as I walked through what must have been the library. The carpets had begun to fade and ebb away, and items were strewn about as thought the last occupants had fled at but a moment’s notice. I found a discarded wax seal on the desk – emblazoned with the family’s crest. A once glorious family, the owners of this house had now faded from local recollection. All that remained was the crumbling shell of their grand home.”
Here are the polishes inspired by that piece. I used two coats for all my swatches though the cremes are virtual one coaters for those who apply them carefully. I’m not one ;o)
Family Crest – is a rich wine red lacquer with a pink shimmer throughout. The shimmer is very evident on the nail.
Recollection – is a gorgeous creamy nude lacquer balanced delicately between warm and neutral tones.
Once Glorious – is a delicate lavender crème polish.
Library Dust – is a subtle periwinkle blue crème polish.
Gilded Beauty – is a soft coppery gold metallic varnish.
Crenellations – A changeable charcoal, like the stones it is named after, “Crenellations” is a gorgeous grey crème nail polish.
And a couple of addition nail arts just because I fancied it!
Library Dust and Once Glorious
And if you’ve stuck it out thus far here’s my favourite nail art! oh how I love this one.
Crenellations, Once Glorious and Library Dust
I just love this collection hard. I’m a sucker for cremes and these are awesome. It would have to be a fight between Library Dust and Crenellations with Once Glorious acting as referee and by a technical knockout I think Library Dust has it! But then again what about Recollection….
